    C-section managment

Kirrily and Sophia have had lots of mums in post C-section lately who haven't been told about the benefits of scar massage. It's super important (and super easy, you do it lying down) so we want to keep getting the word out there!

OzTandem Matt Formston & Mick Curran world champions and world record holders daily routine

The dedication to the routine. 4.30am every morning Mick is at my house ready to train. We've done this almost every day for the last three years. You don't just break world records by accident. Race day is where all the hard work pays off. Race day is the easiest part of all the hard work, it's every other day of sacrifice that deliver the results.

physiozest - ** attention RUNNERS ** Diamond Knee Taping - Fast motion

Functional Taping for Musculoskeletal Injuries (FTMI) The following patella taping technique is designed to support the patella, correct abnormal patella alignment (lateral tracking) and reduce stress on the knee during activity. It can be used for both the treatment and prevention of knee injuries, particularly those associated with abnormal patella tracking such as patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner’s knee), patella instability and patella dislocation. It may also assist with improving the activation of the VMO muscle Benefits of Patella Taping When used correctly, patella taping techniques can: Decrease pain during sport or activity Aid healing of certain knee injuries Correct patella alignment Allow an earlier return to sport or activity following injury Reduce the likelihood of injury aggravation Prevent knee injuries (such as a dislocated patella) during high risk sports (such as netball, basketball, football, soccer etc.) Improve activation of the VMO muscle

physiozest - Ankle taping - Netballers take note!

VIDEO: The ankle joint is the most injured joint in netball and recent research indicates 42 per cent of all injuries in the sport involve it. To prevent ankle injuries, and to manage them, taping and bracing of the ankle are common. Taping and bracing are used in injury management including ankle sprains. To tape or to brace is a personal preference. When taping, if restricting movement is the purpose then only adhesive, non-stretch (rigid) tape is appropriate. The tape provides mechanical support and may enhance proprioception. We can tape it for you here at physiozest before training or a game. Call for details 43843395.
